World Book Day!

The snow didn't ruin our WORLD BOOK DAY! We celebrated on Tuesday 6th March 2018 with a Nursery Rhyme/ Fairy Tale Theme and dedicated our English that week to Humpty Dumpty, Incy Wincy Spider and the 3 Little Pigs - to name but a few familiar characters!!

Look at our fantastic costumes!!

Mark Carton came to visit!

Mark Carton, the author of Red Nosed Gentlemen and Book Spy, came to visit us all at Hetton Primary School. He worked with Year 3 and Class 5 and even came back to personally sign his books which some of the children decided to buy! What an inspiration he was! Who will be the next BOOK SPY????

Christmas Jumper day was so much fun! It made the dress rehearsal for the KS2 Christmas Production so much more Christmassy!!

Thank you to everyone who came and supported our Christmas Fayre on Friday 8th December! We haven't got a final total yet but we've crossed the £1000 mark!! Amazing!

A BIG thank you to all of the parents and grandparents who took part in our Halloween craft on Tuesday 31st October! It was a great turn out and you all looked like you were having a great time!

We were given the opportunity to wear reflective wristbands as the nights start getting darker, for the journey to and from school. All 126 children received a free band to wear.
