Mini SLT 2025-2026

Well done to everyone in Year 6 who took part in our democracy week and delivered speeches to the whole school. 

The votes have been counted and I can now reveal that our new Mini SLT for this academic year are:

Keean, Sophia and Isabelle.

Our first meeting was so productive and you all truly understand your new roles and responsibilities.

Next on the agenda: supporting the School Council with fundraising.

The Mini SLT have recruited Lunchtime Leaders and Corridor Crew to support with roles and responsibilities over lunchtime and breaktimes.

The focus for the Spring Term is: organising a Careers Fair!

Keean, Sophia and Isabelle spent the afternoon in Hetton delivering invitations to local businesses - Andrew Gray funeral directors, Hetton Dentist, The Hetton Centre, Hetton Baths, Sorriso, Deep Blue, the Chiropody Clinic and Hetton Lyons Nursery School.

The people we met were so friendly and impressed by the children's manners.

We are excited to see who can attend on 23rd March!

A HUGE congratulations to all of those brave Year 5 and Year 6 children who delivered a speech to the rest of the school! You were all AMAZING!!

I would now like to introduce our new Mini SLT for 2024-2025:

Year 6: James, Alex, Lily and Brody.

Year 5: Lucy, William, Chloe and Sophia.

I can't wait to get started!!

Meet our new members of the Mini SLT!

The whole school listened to the 13 speeches from the Year 6 candidates on Monday 9th October 2023 and then voted. If you ask any child, they will be able to tell you about DEMOCRACY and how they took part in deciding who became the 2023 Mini SLT.

A big thank you to: Jak, Archie W, Phoebe, Molly, Hallie, Lola, Layla, Dexter and Miley for delivering your speeches so well. You are all such good role models and I know we will need your help in the very near future.
